Who are we?
The Parent Council is a group of parents working in partnership with the school to improve learning outcomes for all pupils attending Two Mile Hill Primary. We aim to support the school in encouraging parents and carers to share their ideas and views regarding all aspects of school life. We meet every term with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
The Parent Council wants to hear your suggestions regarding all aspects of school life no matter how big or small. Our job is to communicate your views to the school and help find solutions. It's easy to get in touch with us!! Send us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org or drop a note in the suggestion boxes located next to our noticeboards or even have a chat with a member of the Parent Council in the playground.
What are our aims?
Parent Council Membership.
The council is made up of one parent representative from each year group.
We are proud of our recent successes.
We have been teaming up with Mrs Hore, the Reading Recovery Teacher, to help some Year 3 children with their reading. This scheme has proved successful and the children have made good progress with their reading.
Parent Councillors have assisted the Senior Leadership Team in reviewing the school’s homework policy by sending out a homework questionnaire for parents to complete. As a result of feedback from the questionnaire, homework is no longer given during school holidays.
The newly introduced Salad Bar was a direct result of a suggestion from a Parent Councillor. It has proved very popular amongst the children, as it provides them with more varied choices for their lunches.
The L-Bot Award times have been changed due to feedback received by a Parent Councillor from a parent who had been unable to attend the awards.
