  • Our awesome Cultural Fayre!

    Wed 23 Nov 2016 O Knowles
Last week we had our fourth Cultural Fayre. This is a celebration of our diverse school community. This year parents and staff prepared food from different cultures for all to try. We also had singing from our two choirs and traditional dancing from Indonesia. A big thank you to all those contributed and came. And last but not least a massive thank you to Mrs Lowson who organises this event every year.
  • Remembrance Day Art Work

    Fri 11 Nov 2016 O Knowles

Armistice Day is on 11 November and is also known as Remembrance Day. It marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918. Nowadays, people remember those who were lost in the war by holding a two-minute silence and by wearing a red poppy.

At school this week the children have worked hard on creating their own art work based on the symbol of the poppy. Have a look through the gallery below to see some of the amazing pieces that have been created.
