  • Free Parenting Session: Raising Happy 21st Century Children

    Mon 21 May 2018

Raising happy, healthy well-balanced children in the 21st century presents parents with many challenges. Although modern society offers exciting opportunities, many are concerned about the effect of commercialism and the impact our sexualised, celebrity obsessed culture may be having on our children.

Recent research shows that many British children are unhappy. They have become too materialistic and image-conscious and this is damaging their emotional well being.

How do we ensure that our children enjoy their childhood and don’t grow up too soon?

    In this session we will look at some of the pitfalls of modern living. We provide parents with practical tips and strategies to support their children to;

    • Build emotional resilience to the media and our looks obsessed culture
    • Resist pressures from their peer group
    • Have moderation and balance in how they spend their time
    • Develop self-confidence and a positive self esteem

Date: Session on Thursday 24th of May - Time: 6.00pm - Location: Group Room at TMHP.

Please ring/speak to the school office to confirm attendance and let us know whether you will need the crèche: 01179031932

  • Dexter's Bench

    Fri 11 May 2018
Recently one of our amazing pupils, Dexter, died after a long protracted illness. To celebrate Dexter and his life we have had a bench made for him. This was installed this week and was officially opened on Friday afternoon by his family and friends. It is an amazing creation that Dexter would have loved. Thanks to Lin Buckman for all her hard work in organising and raising the funds for this thoughtful memorial. If you are on the school premises, please take a moment to come and see this amazing creation.
  • Cultural Fair 2018

    Wed 09 May 2018

On Thursday the 3rd of May we held our annual Cultural festival and in my opinion, it was our best ever. There was singing, dancing and even a lesson on how to wear a Sari! In addition, there was a fantastic array and quantity of delicious food thanks to the generosity of our wonderful parents. The event was made even more special thanks to the presence of our Lord Mayoress and Lady Mayor; they both thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The children were in awe of their ceremonial dress and chains of office. The Cultural Festival would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Mrs Lowson, Ms Buckman and their team of parents. Thank you all very much for yet again providing us with such a fantastic event. It was great to see so many parents there. Thank you so much for supporting us.

  • Do your children play Fortnite - Battle Royale?

    Tue 01 May 2018
You may have come across your pupils talking about the game Fortnite. As with many online games, Fortnite: Battle Royale comes with risks to children and young people. The game is PEGI rated at 12+ however, there is no proof of age required, which can expose younger children to violent content as well as inappropriate comments from older users. National Online Safety have put together an excellent FREE guide for schools and parents with more information about the game to help you keep children safe. Click here to find out more
