Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
As you know, we take safeguarding very seriously at Two Mile Hill Primary. To help us ensure that we are keeping everyone safe we have a new safeguarding email.
You can email our safegaurding team through the address - keepingsafe@twomilehillprimary.bristol.sch.uk
We will try our hardest to get back to you in one school day.
From 24th January to 31st January we were joined in school by two artists. These artists worked with pupils to create models of our class birds. Alongside this, every child in school created their own egg having been given instructions from the artists. We were amazed by the beauty of the creations and they have now been displayed in our two halls.
Happy New Year!
We have started 2020 with as much purpose as we ended 2019. There has been some fantastic learning this week. You will be able to see some of the maths learning that has taken place in the pictures.
We have been focusing on reading even more than usual this term.
In the last week, we have visited Foyles bookshop with some groups of children who have had the opportunity to pick up some great books.
We have also had Year 3 buddies reading with younger children to help them increase their love of reading and this week we are launching our Reading Passports. Children will be trying to read all the books in their passports by the end of the year.
We are really excited about all of these new ideas to help our children become even better readers.
There has been more and more mention of the app TikTok on our playground. Below is a link that will help parents understand the app and how to keep your children safe if they use it.

The children finally got off to sleep on Monday night at 11:30. There were some late night shenanigans (4am), which the teachers found hilarious (NOT!). The weather stayed good for Tuesday and the children were great (if not a bit tired). There was climbing, orienteering, abseiling, crate stacking - and all the children tried their best. In the evening we hiked 2 miles to see a firework display. It was fantastic - the children behaved well and were happy to walk the two miles back home again. I think the sea air is doing them some good. Enjoy the pictures - more news tomorrow.
After an exciting bus journey through sunny South Wales, we finally made it to Morfa Bay.
All the children quickly settled in and got into their groups ready for an afternoon of activities. The children tried their hands at archery, orienteering, mountain biking and the dreaded mud assault cause. All the children did brilliantly! See the photos below to see them in action on the mud assault course.
