Dear Parents and Carers,
It is with great regret that we have had to close the school tomorrow. This means that all learning will take place on-line.
An electrical fault has been discovered and needs essential works carried out on it. To do this the electrician will need to switch the power off. As a result we would not be able to light the school, cook food, heat areas of the school, have a fully functioning phone system and all IT systems would be off-line. This would make running the school unsafe.
I appreciate how inconvenient this is. Myself, Tom Stack, Zoe Napier, Kate Gascoyne and Russ Price will be onsite tomorrow to meet with the contractors and local authority. We will keep you informed of developments through the school texting system and website. Hopefully the maintenance will be straightforward.
Best wishes,
Owen Knowles
Head Teacher
With regret, we are having to shut school again on Tuesday 5th January. This will allow us time to respond to new government guidance after tonight's announcement from the Prime Minister.
We will be contacting families tomorrow to explaining our next actions. If you believe you are a Key Worker then please email me ( tstack@twomilehillprimary.bristol.sch.uk )
Thank for your continued support. We know how disruptive this has been for our families.
Tom
