Kabir shared his poems with me and I thought they should be shared with the world as they are excellent.
Eagle
Staring eyes,
Fish eater,
Dangerous claws,
Flying creature.
Fish
They can be eaten,
They’ve got flapping fins,
But now they’re dying.
Because of plastic and tins.
Panda
Love bamboo,
Chubby, white and black,
But now because of climate change,
Their food is going to crack.
Tortoise
Very slow animal,
Green as a leaf,
It would be
A terrible thief!

This week we have celebrated the work that our children created in poetry week.
On Tuesday we had our KS2 poetry slam and children performed incredibly well considering they were performing to over 300 people.
One outstanding performance came from Ahmad who wrote a poem about Climate Change.
Today we have celebrated KS1 poetry and each class performed poems about forests or our school. Children performed carefully and with a huge amount of pride.
Thank you to all of you who donated to and attended our Cultural Fair on Friday. It was an amazing success. We had music courtesy of our year 5 Steel Drum players, poetry from Alice in year 5 and dancing from two of our pupils Elena and Medina.
After that we had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes all cooked by our parents. It was so delicious - I couldn't eat my dinner!
A big thank you to Mrs Lowson and Mrs Biggs who organises this event every year.
One of our parents, Holly, organised some volunteers to help out fill our beds in the allotment area. The soil was paid for by our PTA. Thank you to the volunteers filling the beds making them ready to use in September.
