  • Cake Sale Success!

    Fri 27 Jan 2017 O Knowles

As I am sure you are aware, we have two very unwell children in Year 2 who we have decided to do some fundraising for. We would like to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to all the children, staff and parents who donated money, helped make and buy cakes and overall supported the day. The children enjoyed making the cakes (and eating them as well!) and the school managed to raise over £1300 in total, which will be shared between Dexter and Thomas’s families. This is a fantastic effort and on behalf of the boys we are all extremely grateful. The families will be invited into school for an assembly where they will be presented with the funds raised, and we will ask them to keep us updated on what the money went towards for the boys.

What a fantastic whole school community event, real teamwork!

  • Walk to school assembly

    Tue 24 Jan 2017 O Knowles

Today we had a visit from Strider!  He was encouraging us to walk to school twice a week so that we can earn a badge at the end of the month!  The children are very keen to get started and will try to keep this up for the rest of the school year!  Good luck!

  • Christmas Lunch

    Wed 14 Dec 2016 O Knowles
Yesterday was our Christmas Lunch and it was amazing! The children were served a fantastic meal by staff which they all enjoyed. They had crackers and Christmas music accompanied their eating! Well done to the Eden kitchen staff, our School Meal supervisors and the teachers for helping us feed over 400 children! And a big thank you to the children who all behaved brilliantly!
  • Our awesome Cultural Fayre!

    Wed 23 Nov 2016 O Knowles
Last week we had our fourth Cultural Fayre. This is a celebration of our diverse school community. This year parents and staff prepared food from different cultures for all to try. We also had singing from our two choirs and traditional dancing from Indonesia. A big thank you to all those contributed and came. And last but not least a massive thank you to Mrs Lowson who organises this event every year.
  • Remembrance Day Art Work

    Fri 11 Nov 2016 O Knowles

Armistice Day is on 11 November and is also known as Remembrance Day. It marks the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918. Nowadays, people remember those who were lost in the war by holding a two-minute silence and by wearing a red poppy.

At school this week the children have worked hard on creating their own art work based on the symbol of the poppy. Have a look through the gallery below to see some of the amazing pieces that have been created.
