Class Info

Reading

It is expected that each child reads to an adult at least three times a week; each child is provided with a reading record book where you can record any reading done at home. This will be checked by the class teacher weekly. Every child’s reading is listened to on a weekly basis, either individually or during guided reading. The outcome of this is recorded in the teacher’s records and may not be recorded in the child’s individual reading record.

Number Race

Children will be tested on their addition and times tables skills three times a week through an activity called Number Race. It would be recommended that you get your child to practice chanting their tables so that they can move through the grid sizes more quickly.

P.E Sessions

There is a PE session each week, on that day the children should come to school wearing their PE kit - white t-shirt, black shorts/leggings and trainers.
