Class Info

Maths

We will be developing our counting and number recognition skills, creating patterns and learning the language of time (days of the week, yesterday, tomorrow etc) and the language of position (beside, under etc).

 

Literacy

In Literacy we will be developing our understanding of stories. We will be talking about characters, retelling known stories and making up our own stories. We will also practise writing our names and learning some letter sounds. 

 

Other Areas

We will also be doing lots of other fun things such as exploring paints, singing songs, using instruments, developing our control of simple tools and much, much more.

 

PE

PE in Reception is on a Monday, but for the first Term your child will not require a PE kit, as we only take off shoes and socks and have our lessons in the school hall.  We will let you know when your child will need a PE kit in school.
