Today Mrs McAll helped children in Year 6 practise reading for the Christmas play.
Dear parents and carers,
Have you moved to the UK recently? Do you and your children speak another language at home? If you do, then come along to our EAL Meetings. We meet once a month in the school group room (the dates are listed below).
Two Mile Hill Primary is very lucky to have 27 different languages spoken in our school community; therefore I would like us to share our home language skills to help the school to become a better place of global inclusion. I would also like to learn about the experience you all have in bringing up bilingual children.
It is so important that you come, so that we can make sure you and your child’s needs are addressed. EAL Meetings will also be a good place to give you my support in any school matters you might have e.g. in regards to your children’s learning. So do come along and feel free to ask any questions.
Hope you can join me for our meeting.
Wednesday 20th January at 2.30
Wednesday 24th February at 2.30
Wednesday 16th March at 2.30
Regards,
Mrs M. Lowson (EAL Support Assistant)
Today's Christmas Fayre was a fantastic success!
Thank you to everybody who donated the items (through our non-school uniform day). The top raffle prize was a family ticket to see Snow White at the Hippodrome, which will be drawn next week.
A big thank you to all of the volunteers and members of PTA who helped organise and run today's wonderful event.
Have a look at some of the photographs below.
Last night, the fabulous 'Much Ado About Nothing' cast performed at the Redgrave Theatre. After months of hard work and determination, our talented performing arts cast gave the performance of a lifetime! We spend the day rehearsing lines, practising the tech (lighting and sound) and the all important curtain call. A big thank-you goes out to all the children, who have worked extremely hard and were true professionals.

Last week we held a cookery competition, where the children were asked to design and bake 4 delicious Halloween biscuits! Well done to all those who entered, it was really hard to choose a winner. Luckily, we had a professional Chef Glyn in school to help us with our decision.
The winners were: Alex from Blackbirds, Sophie from Parrots, Connor from Puffins, Ruby-Sue from Pelicans, Cassie from Herons, Tabish from Doves and Lilly from Ospreys.
